ShockedpWhat the FUCK?

Edit: "You may be through with the past, but the past sure as hell ain’t through with you."
Now, what film is that approximate quote from?  Answers on a post card.

That’s right!

00001769I am Insanity Prawn Boy!  Ow, my carapace!

Seriously, folks, USA was great.  We did so much cool stuff, and it was great to be away from home for a bit (the extension is causing my respiratory system much discomfort).  Thank you all for the kind comments you posted in reply to my lovely, long entries.  They were much appreciated!

It’s my birthday on Friday and I don’t know what I want / need.  Having the room finished would be nice, but I’m not holding out too much hope.  Also, if anyone’s <text removed for legal reasons> Hey, it’s my birthday!

In other news, there will be some photos published soon.  They may, or may not, be interesting.  Watch this space.

San Diego

Monday, September 19th, 2005

Ooh… Alison and I are approaching the end of our jaunt, now being in San Diego.  The city is awesome, really it is.  It’s hot, sunny and clean with loads to do.  We’ve been to the beach and shopping in an open air mall today.  How exciting!

Anyway, keep it real, bonzos.

San Francisco

We’re in San Francisco!  Currently sitting at a 15 min free Internet terminal at the city library.  Only 5mins left.  All is good.  Here ends this post.

Seattle

Friday, September 9th, 2005

Well, it’s been a while since I last made a post, so here I am.  I am currently sitting in the spacious dining room / common room / internet "suite" of the Hostelling International hostel in Seattle.  Alison and I are on our amusing West Coast USA trip and are halfway through our first stop.

So far we’ve been having oodles of fun.  First day’s travel was pretty gruelling, but we recovered after many hours of sleep on Wednesday night.  Things to note about Seattle:  it rains, but no locals own an umbrella; the Space Needle looks a bit odd; the "Experience Music Project" is awesome; food and drink are cheap - buy much thereof; they are playing Nada Surf on the hostel’s stereo right now; there are hills; there doesn’t appear to be anything underground, probably because of the flood plains; there’s a tour guide who looks like Richie D; the monorail is shit; the Crocodile Cafe is cool; Screamo is rubbish live.

Basically, it’s a cool place.  Alison and I are about to go out and grab some chow, and my $2 for 24 mins is threatening to run out, so I’ll be saying goodbye now.  Much love.
